British-German wreath-laying ceremony in London

On 2 May at 10 am commencing on "Big Ben’s" first chimes, the German Air Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel (GS) Dirk Wiegmann and Air Commodore Commodore Andrew Hine OBE MA RAF honoured the airmen of both Air Forces who lost their lives in the service of their country with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Royal Air Force Memorial in London.

On 25 April 2013 Ambassador Georg Boomgaarden conferred the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany to Margot Barnard in recognition of her extraordinary dedication to educating young people about the Holocaust.
