The European University Viadrina is a small international university where 25% of students come from foreign countries, creating an international atmosphere on campus and within the university. We are situated in Frankfurt (Oder) on the Polish border and are just one hour away from Germany's capital, Berlin.
The university features three faculties: the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences, and the Faculty of Business Administration. Academic standards are as excellent as the learning environment, which makes use of the most modern equipment and personalized advising. Lectures are easily accessible and seminars consist of manageable groups in which students can effectively work together with their professors. Our programs are international in outlook and are very well accredited and highly ranked.

The business school was among the five best business schools in Germany in most recent rankings (CHE – 2010). There are numerous course programs taught in English, e.g. the bachelor's and master's program “International Business Administration” or the master's program in “Humanitarian Law.” Best of all – with very few exceptions – students do not pay tuition fees at the Viadrina.
The university is located in the city center and Poland is just on the other side of the river Oder, with modern lecture halls and student residences on both sides of the border. Everything is close here, offering the advantage of short walking distances between different facilities. This supports a lively atmosphere on campus and an academic atmosphere where students and professors work closely together. The advantages of the Viadrina also lie in the relatively low living costs accompanied by a prize winning dining hall. Moreover, we are proud of our student activities, which form nearly 50 different student initiatives. And yes, students do like our university and confirm it regularly in student polls – we are usually ranked in the "Top 10" within a European-wide student poll (StudiVZ).
We also take particular good care of international students, with quite unusual services for a German university. We offer a buddy system, a family program, a pick-up service, and an open office for students around the week.
