Why did you choose to study in Germany?
It was a compulsory part of my degree. I had the choice to work or become a Teaching Assistant, but I thought it would be really interesting to see how studying in Germany would be different to Britain.
At which German university did you study and when?
At the Universität Potsdam from September 2010 until August 2011.
What was the best part about studying in Germany?
Making amazing friends! I met people from all across Europe and beyond who have become very close friends. I found it fascinating to learn about other cultures, but also to see how much we all have in common. We were all exploring Germany together and they made my experience the best it could have been.
Would you recommend the experience?
Absolutely! It will be the best time of your life! But as well as being great fun, it is a fantastic experience that will set you apart from everyone else.
What would be your advice to someone who wants to study in Germany?
Go out there and meet people, take part in clubs or events and get the most you can out of your time away. The more you put in to it, the more you get out of it.
