Thomas Kielinger presents biography of Queen Elizabeth II

Thomas Kielinger signing his book Enlarge image Thomas Kielinger signing his book (© German Embassy) The German Ambassador, Georg Boomgaarden, hosted a dinner at his residence in Belgrave Square on Thursday 8th December 2011 to mark the publication of Thomas Kielinger’s book “Elizabeth II. – Das Leben der Queen”. Kielinger who is an acclaimed German journalist and author has a long acquaintance with the United Kingdom and its history, politics, society and culture.

In his new book, which was published in October this year, Kielinger does not only discuss the life of the Queen but also provides a fascinating portrait of her personality.

The successful evening with Kielinger’s family and media colleagues as well as representatives of the German Embassy let the hopes rise high for a successful launch of the Queen’s biography – written by a German and in German.
